WRITING FOR MONEY
nonfiction writing workshop
featuring Dennis Held
26 March 2005 • 10 am — 4 pm • Hope, Idaho

Writing for Money, a day-long workshop, will cover the basics of writing a magazine-style feature article. The class will include tips for generating story ideas; conducting research; interviewing techniques; writing the first draft; revising the article; manuscript preparation; and submission suggestions. This will be a hands-on, workshop class; students should expect to conduct a brief interview and write a lead paragraph during class time. Students with writing experience stand to gain the most from this class, but beginners are welcome.
Maximum class size: 12 • Workshop fee: $50
